First, About my Scale Figure Business:
For many years, I sculpted
original
scale model railway figures, cast them in Polyurethane
Resin,
and sold hundreds of them directly to fellow modelers all
over the
world. Several dozen different,
unique figures were made in 1:24, 1:20, and 1:13.7 scales.
Recently,
however, I have decided
to retire, and give up my business. However, you can still
buy many of
my figure Castings from
Back2Bay6
Models.
For nostalgia sake, here are some samples of my commercial figures:
1:13.7 scale (about 5-1/4' tall) 1:24 scale (about 2-3/4" tall)

My Personal Models and Scenes
A Lister Locomotive in 1" Scale
Built from a
fabulous kit
made by the Back2Bay6
Company,
in England. Produced from
white-metal castings, with certain embellishments and details
by the
builder (me).
The painting was a layer of auto body primer, followed by base
coat of
"Hunter Green"
auto body paint (both from rattle cans). The details and
weathering are
a combination
of acrylic paints and commercial rust treatments.

Deutz
Locomotive built in Holland

I made the
driver and his dog, too.

A Day on Cannery Row, in Port Clyde, Maine
I built this 1" scale
diorama, mostly for use as a display/photo background. It
depicts the
outside
of a large brick building, a sardine cannery in Maine. One track
is
embedded in concrete, with
cobblestones between the rails. The other track is a little-used
siding. The whole scene is entirely
scratch-built, including figures and all the details.
1. Early
morning in Port Clyde, Maine. Bruno checks his manifest,
awaiting the first load of sardines from the docks.

2. 11:00 AM
in Port Clyde, Maine. Bruno and Marco admire the quality
of Maine sardines, as Paulo looks on.

3. 1:00
PM
in
Port Clyde, Maine. Bruno gets ready to move some new
equipment
and parts into the Cannery. (hand truck and crates are from Today
Montgomery)

4. 3:00 PM
in
Port Clyde, Maine. Over in the corner, Pasquale and his
friend
discuss Philosophy. (the chair is a commercial part)

5. 4:00 PM in
Port Clyde, Maine. Carlo stops with the big red Deutz
on his way from the quary to the dock. (loco mechanism from LGB)
